When it comes to candles, I am a very finicky person. There are two things that I consider before purchasing a candle: 1. Does it smell so good that I can instantly jump into relaxation mode? 2. Is the jar simple or chic enough for repurposing and/or decorating? If the answer is yes to both…adds to cart!
Lately I have been obsessed with DW Home I stock up on them at T.J Maxx, it’s quite hard not to buy just one or two. The scent that I am faithful to is the ‘Warm Tobacco Pipe’— a woodsy scent with notes of patchouli and smoky leather. If you are a fan of the ‘Hearth’ candle by Nest or the ‘Tobacco’ candle by Malin + Goetz consider this your budget friendly dupe.
To switch things up a bit, I purchased a few new scents: Hickory Clove, Apple Honey Butter, and White Rose. I’ve been rotating all three according to my mood. What I love about the candles from this brand is that the aroma fills your space without having to burn them, the scent is very potent (in a good way).
Cozy DW Home Candles for Winter
1. Hickory Clove: Got this one simply because I absolutely love the smell of clove. This hand poured mix is infused with notes of musk, amber, evergreen and vanilla bourbon.
2. Apple Honey Butter: To me, this is the perfect scent for transitioning from fall to winter, it has that sweet apple scent that reminds you of apple picking, and it’s blended with a warm clove and cinnamon smell that reminds you of snuggling up with a hot cup of chai on a cold winter morning.
3. White Rose: I am not the biggest fan of rose scents, but this one is simply divine since it’s mixed with a musky scent. I keep this one on my vanity because it gives me that girly vibe.
